After our show at The Media Club in Vancouver, we started our journey towards Minneapolis.  The first day we drove to Billings, Montana where we stayed at a hotel there for 3 hours to get some rest. The drive was very long, 20 hours, but it wasn't a problem because the scenery was extremely beautiful in Montana. We saw lots and lots of prairies. We also had Melrose Place Season 3 to entertain us in the car (How crazy is that show??!). Most of the time we were pretty much alone on the road when we drove. Even though we come from a country that is far from densely populated, we found it a bit odd.

The next day we continued to Minneapolis. The drive was supposed to be 12 hours, but because of a little incident we had to drive an additional 6 hours. In the morning we ate breakfast at a place called 4B's Diner in Miles City, Montana. Then we drove 3 hours and stopped at a gas station close to Dickinson. What we noticed there was that we had forgotten our very important backpack at the diner in Miles City  - we freaked out. We had to drive back to Miles City and collect the backpack. Luckily the people at the diner had turned it to the Miles City Police Department, so we went there and picked it up. The officer who helped us was very, very kind and we had to sing a song for him. We also gave the people at 4B's Diner a CD, to thank them for not stealing the backpack.

Last Thursday in Johannesburg , SA the FIFA World Cup Kick-off Concert took place in front of 30,000 fans and streamed worldwide on the net. There were amazing performances from K’naan, Hugh Masekela, Blk Jks and some American act called Black Eyed Peas. Electric Smile Band is a musical collective based in Melbourne, Australia. The self-titled, debut record, which is essentially a collection of refined improvised jams, was recorded and produced by noted local producers Jack Farley (Transient Studios – St Helens, Beaches, Love of Diagrams) and Woody Annison (Children Collide, Red Riders, Rocket Science). Described by the band as “journey music”, the debut release for ESB travels dynamic musical terrains from dreamscape psychedelic jams, prog rock, crooning melodies and at times mechanical vocals and tribal rhythms.

Current members of ESB include Billy McCabe (Sailors & Swing), Johnny Mackay (Children Collide) and Jonny Goldcoast & Jim BBQ (Amazing Phillips Sisters).

How did you meet?
On the desolate plains of infinite man-made doctrine we blew together like the four winds to recognise the long lost rational soul of existence.

What is your biggest achievement as a band to date?
We are not a band. We are cloud priests belonging to the Order of the Four Winds.

Where did the band name originate?
It was whispered into Golden Camel’s ear by Jupiter himself during one of his many and frequent meditative travels to the crystal moons.

Favorite Bands?
All bands are equal in our collective eye.

Plans to Tour?
We are all touring even when we are standing still or sleeping: always towards the unreachable summit: along the neverending river: between the somewhere trees into the forever forest. We tour the festival circuit that exists in the fifth dimension between your mind and your awareness of that mind.

Plans for next release?
Release is a necessity in spiritual evolution.

Los Angeles' female duo VOICEsVOICEs have released their new video for "Flulyk Vlsions" off of their latest EP, Origins.
The video contains multiple shots of the experimental group playing their haunting tune and singing along to the track. The video flashes from brightly colored backdrops, to dark silhouettes from frame to frame.

VOICEsVOICEs are also re-releasing their debut EP Sounds Outside via Lefse Records.

As we reported a few days ago, Mark Ronson & The Business INTL have released the video for his first single, "Bang Bang Bang", off his new album, Record Collection.

The video features Q-Tip, Mark Ronson, and MNDR performing the song while freestyle break dancers do their thing below all inside of the setting of an 80's sci-fi space movie.

Record Collection is set to drop sometime in September but in the mean time, enjoy the video!

Although details surrounding it are scant, take a look at this intriguing video showing music game Beat Fleet, which was created by a Zurich arts student and is controlled by time-coded vinyl.

This compact shoulder synthesizer is loaded with 150 high-quality sounds that cover a wide stylistic range, from synth leads to solo violin. It can be played in either a standing position using a shoulder strap or in a traditional horizontal tabletop orientation.

Session Strings—for Kontakt 4 and the free Kontakt Player—re-creates a string ensemble comprising four violins, three violas, two celli and two double basses, captured and produced in one of Germany's most renowned recording studios by sampling expert Thomas Koritke's new sound design house e-instruments.

Grainy video of people playing basketball paired with a very low key jam song is what you get with the new Woodsman video for "Balance."

You can't really see much in the Denver group's video except a lot of blue, green, and red colors blurring out the images of some young children shooting hoops dressed in 80's style clothing.

"Balance" is off of the Woodsman latest release, Mystery Tape via Lefse Records.
